Loew's State Theatre was a movie theater. It is located on 1540 Broadway on Times Square in New York City. The theater opened in August 29, 1921 and closed in 1987. Many films have premiered in the theatre. Notable ones include The Three Musketeers (1948), Annie Get Your Gun (1950), Some Like It Hot (1959), Ben-Hur (1959), Becket (1964), and Doctor Dolittle (1967), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) and The Godfather (1972).
